CHCAO is a coalition of Patient and Health Care Advocacy leaders who recognize the benefit of working together on common goals to advance the profession. By acknowledging each other’s strengths, sharing resources, and collaborating with a shared vision, the coalition will increase the visibility and availability of Patient Advocates and improve the patient experience.

The profession of health care advocacy adheres to a strict Code of Ethics which are maintained, reviewed, and approved by the Coalition of Health Care Advocacy Organizations (CHCAO).
A+J Patient Advocacy adheres to this Code, including all Staff, Board of Directors, Advisory Panelists, and Volunteers. As part of their signed service agreement with the organization, all A+J members are held to this Code.

- Best Practices and Professional Education
- Fostering Informed Decision Making
- Professional Conduct
